Following the success of last year’s sold-out show, If Tap Shoes Could Talk, Annie Mayer returns to the Edmonton International Fringe Theater Festival with Tap Attack, a full hour of fun, high energy, fierce-footed, original rhythm tap choreography to entertain audiences of all ages. Performed by New York based, Metronome Rhythm Tap, a dance company founded and directed by Annie Mayer, Tap Attack takes the audience on a journey; exploring a variety of music and dance styles including swinging jazz rhythms, flamenco, salsa, rock and roll, Afro-Cuban beats and soft-shoe blues.

Here’s what critics have said about previous shows:

“... inspiring, fun, and first rate.” …4-star review in the KC Stage Magazine 2006

“… Mayer's dancing is lovely and worth the price of admission.”

…The Star Phoenix, Saskatoon 2007

“Fantastic!” …5-star review from CBC Saskatchewan 2007

“If you love the intricate footwork of tap dance, try to grab a front-row seat…Rarely will you see dance so cleverly integrated into a narrative.

…The Winnipeg Free Press 2007

“Bittersweet and breezy, If Tap Shoes Could Talk is a delightful little romp.”

…4-stars in The Edmonton Journal 2007
